Privacy Policy

The short version

Label Merge generates label PDFs entirely inside your browser. The text you paste into the generator is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server we operate — it stays in your browser's memory and is used only to build the PDF you download.

Information we collect

We do not require an account, and we do not collect:

• The text, names, addresses, or any other content you type or paste into the generator
• Names, email addresses, or other personal details, unless you email us directly
• Payment information — Label Merge is free and has no paid tier

Analytics and cookies

The site uses Google Analytics 4, loaded from Google's servers, to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects standard usage information such as the pages you visit, your browser and device type, and your IP address, which Google processes in line withGoogle's own privacy policy.

When you download a PDF, we also send Google Analytics a download event with basic details about it: the label sheet, the fill mode, and the number of labels, or for card sheets, the number of cards and pages and whether a card back was used. These events never include the text you type or paste, the spreadsheets you open, or the images you upload.

Local storage

The site uses your browser's localStorage — a storage mechanism built into your browser, not a server — to remember two things between visits:

• Your light/dark theme preference
• Printer calibration offsets you set for a given label or card sheet, so you don't have to recalibrate every visit

This data is stored only on your own device, is never transmitted anywhere, and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data for getlabelmerge.com.

Fonts

The Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces are self-hosted and served from getlabelmerge.com itself. Loading them does not make any request to Google Fonts or other third-party font services.

Server logs

Like virtually any website, our hosting provider may keep standard access logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability purposes. We don't use these logs for tracking or analytics, and pasted label text never appears in them because it's never sent to a server in the first place.

Third-party links

Some pages link out to third-party sites (for example, Avery's website). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of sites we don't operate — check their own policies before sharing information with them.

Children's privacy

Label Merge is a general-purpose tool not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
